NXP 在藍牙科技聯盟(Bluetooth SIG) 還未公佈 Channel Sounding 這項技術前幾年就已在合作這項技術, 故才會在 KW45 BLE5.3 就已可使用此技術供前期開發者評估測距( Ranging )功能, 此技術與以往使用 BLE RSSI 與配合各公司 KNOW-HOW 的演算法技術建置有所不同, 上述的演算法僅於 local 端能進行對 Key fob 的場景應用,但於 Channel Sounding 技術將省去了 Key fob device 的成本效益, 還可於現代人 人手一機的 Smart Phone 比例上與 BLE6 Device 直接對傳 Ranging ,此後續的效益與新穎性特色將會是發熱在 BLE 6 ,而 NXP KW47 支援 BLE6 的規格與 KW45 HVQF48為 pin to pin 架構, 於現階段已可申請 engineering sample 進行開發。BLE SIG 對這項技術深具信心, 故於官網上標示了 10 cm Ranging Accuracy for Secure Access , Digital Key, and Proximity Services。

NXP BLE KW 於 CCC Digital Key with Channel Sounding 建置了下方的技術
- Owner Pairing between a Device and a Car Anchor
- Passive Entry
- Synchronizing bonding data between Car Anchors
- Connection between a Car Anchor and a non-CCC key fob
The two demo applications showcase the following localization features:
- Distance measurement through Channel Sounding
- RAS preliminary implementation based on specification working draft
- Distance measurement data transfer through RAS
- Ranging algorithms
– Complex-domain Distance Estimation (CDE)
– Rapid Accurate Distance Estimator (RADE)
